About Coach Trevor Dean

Hi, and welcome to the Get in the Game Podcast homepage: where we explore ways to get off the sidelines, stop making excuses, and Get in the Game.

I’m Trevor Dean, but feel free to call me “Coach”. I am first and foremost, a Christian. The faith and hope that I have in Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior has not only shaped my life and marriage to Brit, but my coaching career as well. I was blessed to have an 18 year coaching career in volleyball, where over time, I developed a heart and passion for teaching and training, both in athletics and in life. Towards the end of my coaching career, I had the opportunity to work in full-time ministry with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA); a sport ministry focused on impacting the world for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. Naturally, this was a great fit for me because I was able to continue coaching while ministering to coaches and athletes. It was actually during my time working for FCA, that the name for this podcast was born; I would challenge Christian coaches and athletes, regarding their Christian walk, to get off the sidelines and get in the game.

Now, I hope through this podcast ministry, to reach more than just coaches and athletes. Through the lens of my faith I will explore everyday subjects that we all go through or think about, and I hope to coach you up and encourage you to “Get in the Game” in your own life.
